The Opportunity
This role is about assisting our team to provide a high-quality multi-product install and repair and maintenance service on a diverse range of mechanical gear. Alongside that you will be assisting in our busy warehouse to ensure that it is operating to its fullest potential right from inwards goods through to dispatch.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves variety and has hands on experience within warehousing and hydraulics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
- Checking fabricated and assembled parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
- Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools in machines and presses
- Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind metal
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
- Erecting machines and equipment on-site as required
- Picking, and dispatching hydraulic fittings and orders and cut and dispatch hydraulic and industrial hose
- Assisting with Hose Kit manufacturing as required
- Stock taking, cycle counting and administration of stock inventory
The Person
If you’re someone with a background in both warehousing and hydraulics, then this role could be for you!
To be successful you will need:
- Previous warehousing experience and/or trade background ie mechanical or hydraulic experience
- An understanding of hydraulic hose & fitting manufacture, repair and maintenance (advantageous)
- A working knowledge of Pronto
- Excellent task management capabilities including well developed time management, attention to detail & administration skills
- MR licence or higher (advantageous)
- Forklift ticket
