The Opportunity 

This is no ordinary job…. As our Service Manager you will be the key to managing our Mobile Breakdown Services and ensuring service levels are maintained and that our customers’ expectations are met. At an exciting time when we are experiencing growth.  Alongside this, you will be managing our Cairns based team of mobile technicians (HSSTs). 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Driving the continued growth of our service division (e.g. breakdowns and installations) 
  • Managing the Cairns-based technicians
  • Providing Technical support to your team and customers
  • Collaborating with our Area Sales Managers to drive growth in the region. 
  • Building and maintaining relationships with our customer base. 
  • Researching and buying in product locally when necessary 

So, you get loads of variety and all sorts of daily challenges. No two days are the same. No time to get bored and so much to do! 

The Person 

If you’re someone with a background in the hydraulic, mechanical, industrial or automotive industry, or someone who thrives on running a great team, read on. 

Ideally, you will be an existing Service Manager with similar experience in a service-based industry with hydraulic hose and fittings knowledge!  

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • The ability to manage a small team of Mobile Service Technicians (HSSTs)
  • Sound computer, numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to be able to correctly identify and make hydraulic hose assemblies
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage rapidly changing workloads and deadlines 
  • Hands on approach and physically fit (some heavy lifting is involved). 
  • Previous experience interacting directly with customers in a mechanical environment would be beneficial
